Loved my visit to Babson College in Wellesley MA yesterday! This globe was amazing - I love all things geography. To me, it represented the 80 different countries their students come from - 30% of them from outside the US! People come to Babson to study business and they have been ranked number one for entrepreneurship for the past 25 years. There are no teaching assistants here; the faculty are devoted to undergraduate education. It's important to note that Babson values the liberal arts and they offer and require those classes to teach students to "meaningfully engage with the world around them." Babson students can also cross register and take classes at Olin College of Engineering and Wellesley College, which are both just down the road. Many Babson students study abroad, and and among the many programs available, they can study at the London School of Economics for a full year. The Center for Career Development is serious about getting these young people jobs. They offer First Year Fridays for freshmen with mock interviews, resume review, coaching and more. Several hundred employers come to campus every year to recruit and there is an active alumni network as well. The college has an arrangement with Uber to offer free rides to the local train station and it's 10 miles into Boston from there. Lots to love about Babson!
