I had a great visit to Colby College in Waterville Maine last week. Here are some nuggets: Colby was founded before Maine was a state! There is never an application fee nor a supplemental essay so applying is easy. There's a nut-free dining hall, which I love. There's a brand new athletic and rec center which was built in 2020. And it's gorgeous. They're building a new Center for Creative and Performing Arts which will be up by fall of 2023. It will be home to the 8 acapella groups on campus including "the Mediocres." Not kidding. Colby offers a first semester for freshmen in Dijon, France or Salamanca, Spain. If you check the box on the application that you're interested and you're selected, it is not optional. It reminds me of a similar program at a University we all know in love in Boston. Lots to love at Colby College for students seeking a liberal arts education.
