I visited Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH today. The library is gorgeous, much like a ski lodge. The location is beautiful, and they give students free passes to Mount Sunapee! The college is in good financial shape, having raised a record $21.5 million in 2021. Colby-Sawyer is first and foremost committed to student success. For that reason, they recently reduced the size of their student population from 1200 to 900. They do not want to admit students who won't succeed, and don't want to contribute to unnecessary student debt, which is admirable. I am most impressed with the nursing program at Colby-Sawyer. Students get hands-on experience at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. Additionally, there's a new medical lab science major: Colby-Sawyer partnered with Dartmouth Hitchcock to support the hospital's need for lab scientists. Graduates from this program start at $60-70,000K.
