Elon University

Elon University in Elon, North Carolina is a beautiful 690-acre campus of just over 6000 students and about 700 graduate students. Students come from 49 states, and the top states they draw from are North Carolina, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Virginia and Maryland. The Elon community definitely feels like northerners transplanted to this southern campus.

Elon has a College of Arts and Sciences, Business, Communications, Education, Health Sciences, and Law. Within the School of Health Sciences, accelerated programs are offered in Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Studies. The nursing program is quite new, and it's important to note that while Elon is test-optional, the nursing program is not. They do require scores.

Some really interesting majors are Economic Consulting, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Financial Technology, Human Service Studies, Media Analytics, Policy Studies, Professional Writing &Rhetoric, Strategic Communications, Supply Chain Management, and Theatrical Design & Technology. Some great minors offered here are Adventure Based Learning, Arts Administration, Creative Writing, Digital Art, Food Studies, Game Design, Geographic Information Systems, Interreligious Studies, Jazz Studies, Leadership Studies, and Professional Writing Studies.

Elon's Student Professional Development Center is impressive. Here's a statistic I don't often hear: 92% of the class of 2021 accepted a position RELATED TO THEIR CAREER GOAL! Yay! Not Starbucks, so this data is relevant!
