I've always loved Gettysburg. But here are a few things I learned on my visit: Once the pandemic hit, the university responded to student requests and installed fire pits and adirondack chairs around the campus so kids could congregate outdoors. Those are now permanent. They have an interview closet for all students who might not have the appropriate clothing for professional interviews. Borrow what you need! Also, the library provides free textbooks, on loan, for any students who can't afford them. Gettysburg is the only college in the Centennial Conference with a marching band. Love that! They have an honor code which they take very seriously that prohibits cheating, fighting or stealing. It is taken very seriously and it works! Lastly, Gettysburg has a wonderful summer research program for STEM students, and they receive free housing as well as a stipend. I love everything about Gettysburg!
