Lynn University

Lynn University, in Boca Raton, Florida, calls itself an innovative, forward-thinking institution, and I think I agree. The administration has been asking themselves some questions, starting with, "What do employers want?" They want career readiness. Like their well-known aviation program, most of the majors here are pre-professional: Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Multimedia Journalism, Sports Management, Hospitality Management, and Education are a few. There are BFA programs in Computer Animation, Film Production, Graphic Design, and Visual Art and Design. And there are also Bachelor of Music programs in Composition or Performance, and all music students receive a full-tuition scholarship! Employers are also asking for candidates to have soft skills, and those are strengthened in the thematic core curriculum.

Another question they've asked themselves is, "How does Gen Z learn?" Lynn has four 4-week terms in the fall and four in the spring. Students take only one class most terms, and that class meets Monday through Thursday for 2.5 hours. Additionally, Lynn University offers an accelerated 3-year degree option, which 20% of the student body takes advantage of, saving them the cost of that fourth year of college.

There are 2400 undergraduates here. Only 28% of them come from Florida, but a surprising 18% are international students. Less than 4 miles to the beach for fun, and 45 miles from Miami for internships, and an average annual temperature of 75 degrees, the location has a lot to offer. And with an all-in price of just under $58K, and merit scholarships up to $19K, US News and World Report has ranked Lynn University #5 for least debt after graduation.
