Oregon State University, the state's largest university, in Corvallis, Washington, is a land, sea, sun and space grant university, which is a pretty big deal. It was the first university to create electrical offshore energy from waves - very cool! There's a College of Agricultural Sciences, College of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Forestry, College of Public Health and Human Sciences, College of Science, and, of course, a College of Liberal Arts, College of Business, and College of Education. Half its students are majoring in a STEM field, with engineering its most highly enrolled college. And OSU is ranked #2 in the world for forestry, #3 in the world for oceanography, and #8 in the world for marine and freshwater biology. And OSU was awarded $384 million for research funding in 2021.

While students come from all 50 states, 53% are from Oregon. One hour from the ocean, and an hour and a half from the Portland Airport, OSU is an institution of 33,000 total students and 25,000 undergraduates. 17% if them live on campus, and about 25% are involved in Greek life. No majors are impacted, and tests aren't required for merit scholarships, which are awarded up to $12K.

With very cool majors like Horticulture, Food Science and Sustainable Technologies, Humanitarian Engineering, Ecological Engineering, and Wood Innovation for Sustainability, Oregon State University has some really great opportunities for students!
