My second college visit in Boston today was to Wentworth Institute of Technology with my dear friend and colleague, Karime Jankauskas. At Wentworth they believe in a 3-part learning system: lecture/lab/co-op. Students have 2 required, paid co-ops in their field before graduating, resulting in real-world experience and job offers. I love that the library is designed as a collaborative space, and the highest-paid student jobs on campus are academic tutors! Some great majors to be aware of are Construction Management, Cybersecurity, and Computer Science in Society. There's also a 4-plus-1 architecture program leading to licensure. With discounted tickets to the Museum of Science and the Aquarium, free tickets to the Museum of Fine Arts, and $9 Red Sox tickets for students, there's a lot to like about Wentworth!
